2017 Webby Awards
If you are a digital designer/developer like me, then you more than likely know about the Webby Awards. Each year, I look forward to participating in the interactive online voting process to honor the nominees from 13,00 entries and 70 different countries! It is after all, like the Oscars of the Internet, founded by a bad-ass woman who is praised as helping to shape the 21rst century – Tiffany Shlain.
These are a few of my favorite nominees:

“Technology is just us, it’s not this separate thing. It extends our ability to connect with ideas and people in new ways we’ve never been able to connect with. A lot of people talk about technology as if it’s this other thing. It is us. We have agency in it, and we can shape it and we could use it how we want to use it.” – Tiffany Shlain
